The
ISKA website
The ISKA is recognized
worldwide as both a regulating body for competitive martial arts and
the governing body for amateur and professional kickboxing. Hosting
their annual martial arts championships yearly at the prestigious
US Open World Martial Arts Championships, the ISKA crowns world champions
in seven types of martial arts competition. Sanctioning over 200 major
title kickboxing events per year on five continents, the ISKA continues
to update rules, train & certify officials and maintain the ratings
necessary to recognize both worthy champions and world rated kickboxing
contenders in this fast growing and exciting sport.
ISKA World Titles
The ISKA's international network of events insures the credibility
of their “world championship” titles and gives these world class athletes
an international platform on which to perform. Live events are very
well attended with major shows being broadcasted as special ISKA pay
per view extravaganzas as well as being taped for our weekly television
series on ESPN2, STRIKE FORCE: ISKA KICKBOXING. Additionally, 1998
marked the return of competitive martial arts to national television
with the airing of four, half hour segments taped from the 25th Annual
U.S. Open.
ISKA
Celebrities
Chuck Norris, Jean Claude VanDamme, Don “The Dragon” Wilson,
Cynthia Rothrock, Ernie Reyes Jr., and Jeff Speakman are
just a few of the names of the industry stars who have appeared at
events in support of the ISKA, competitive martial arts and the sport
of kickboxing.
ISKA
Fitness Division
The ISKA’s most recent expansion is it’s “Fitness Division”. ISKA
Fitness Division was created and designed to promote kickboxing as
a non-competitive fitness vehicle to people of all ages and athletic
background. In doing so, it’s priorities will be to provide the media
and the general public with both accurate information and safe training
techniques & programs designed to achieve total body fitness and effective
kickboxing skills. Due to the “ISKA Kickboxing for Fitness!” program
and other fine programs taught at both martial arts and fitness studios
around the world, literally hundreds of thousands of people are now
training in kickboxing each day for it’s outstanding health and fitness
benefits. Not only does this raise the public’s awareness of, and
enthusiasm for the sport, it also creates a much wider base from which
the next generation of competitive kickboxers will come.
ISKA
Success
The heights that the ISKA has attained continues to reflect it’s basic commitment to credibility and uncompromising integrity. The sport’s future will rely on that commitment in cooperation with competitive martial art’s and kickboxing’s many talented athletes and tremendous body of fans that circles the world!
